Overview
* Act as a trusted partner and advisor to the business area and client group supported, driving business performance through detailed analysis, commentary, advice, challenge, and decision support.
* Provide support in customer meetings and negotiations by offering insights, analysis, challenges, and recommendations.
* Become a key leadership figure within the UK sales finance team, fostering cross-functional collaboration across the business.
Responsibilities
* Partner with the Sales teams to achieve financial targets.
* Develop an in-depth understanding of the supported client group, including its results and key levers influencing P&L performance.
* Analyze historical, current, and forecasted performance, providing monthly insights, highlighting trends, and recommending corrective actions.
* Collaborate with the client group to drive actions on pricing, promotional ROI, sales, margin, and ROI.
* Advise on business planning assumptions, trade-offs, and opportunities.
* Ensure SOX compliance across all sales finance areas.
* Support the Head of Sales Finance in creating a cohesive, high-performing team and act as a positive role model.
* Assist the wider Commercial Finance team in business partnering and capability building.
* Enhance the financial understanding and skills of the Sales teams.
* Foster leadership within the Commercial Finance Team and build strong relationships with finance functions like the Nomad Shared Service Centre and local FP&A teams.
Qualifications
Essential
* Qualified accountant
* 6+ years PQE with a proven track record in commercial finance roles
* Experience working in an FMCG organization
* Experience in cross-functional team collaboration within a matrix organization
* Proficiency in Power BI, SAP ECC/SAP BI, and advanced MS Office, especially Excel
* Strong business and financial acumen with analytical skills
* Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to quickly learn finance/reporting systems interactions
* Focus on meeting deadlines and improving processes
* Proactive, initiative-driven, and able to challenge and communicate effectively with stakeholders
