Job Description
As a Plant Facilities Engineer, you will join a growing division of Segula. This role offers significant potential for personal growth within a consultancy working with multiple clients and sectors. You will be responsible for introducing new facilities, materials, product lines, and managing new or existing vehicle refresh programs.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Assessing the feasibility of new facilities and processes, and managing projects related to cost, quality, and timing.
2. Supporting the area by providing the necessary capability and capacity at facilities and supporting equipment, aligned with program milestones, launch plans, and production requirements.
3. Developing engineering solutions suited to the capabilities of the facilities and their process characteristics.
4. Designing robust and lean layout solutions to support project delivery and operational efficiency improvements.
5. Coordinating with all relevant stakeholders to ensure acceptance, buy-off, and successful handover of new or modified facilities.
6. Collaborating with manufacturing and other engineering disciplines to deliver programs and facility projects within budget and schedule.
7. Managing facility documentation in line with manufacturing engineering procedures, supporting audits.
8. Leading and participating in multifunctional procurement teams through all project phases, ensuring adherence to procurement procedures.
9. Tracking project KPIs and preparing weekly reports for departmental management.
Qualifications
* Experience with AutoCAD or similar tools.
* Strong engineering and manufacturing background with experience in facilities development and engineering.
* Knowledge of reliability and maintainability principles and environmental impacts of engineering solutions.
* Ability to manage suppliers of materials and equipment.
* Working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
* Experience in supplier selection and tender management.
* Understanding of electrical control systems used in automated and conveyor equipment.
