Business Development Road Transport & Fleet Solutions

North of England | Field-based - Midlands Territory

OTE circa £50k +Car + Benefits (uncapped)

Are you a natural relationship-builder who thrives on the road, loves meeting new people, and gets a buzz from winning business? If you’re a commercially driven Business Development professional who enjoys turning conversations into long-term partnerships, this could be your next big move.

We’re looking for an outgoing, hands-on Business Developer to grow the adoption of SNAP across the road transport industry. Acting as the first point of contact for assigned Service Partner locations, you’ll develop new opportunities and support consultative sales with fleet customers across the UK and Ireland.

This is a true field sales role you’ll be out meeting customers, attending industry events, building partnerships, and driving measurable growth. You’ll own your pipeline end-to-end, from prospecting and first meetings through to negotiation and close.

What you’ll be doing

Business Development & Growth

* Own and deliver smart, practical sales plans to drive adoption of SNAP solutions across your region
* Spend your time where it matters most face-to-face with customers and partners, uncovering opportunities and strengthening relationships
* Proactively hunt new business, building partnerships with secure truck parking, truck wash providers, and other essential road services
* Work closely with the UK Commercial team to exceed revenue targets across fleet customers and service partners
* Stay ahead of the curve by tracking market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
* Act as a trusted advisor to logistics customers, ensuring our solutions grow alongside their needs
* Represent the business with energy, professionalism, and confidence in person and online
* Take ownership of customer queries, feedback, and challenges, seeing them through to a positive outcome
* Collaborate with Customer Service to deliver a seamless, high-quality customer experience

Commercial & Financial Focus

* Take ownership of margin growth by consistently delivering against individual and team targets, KPIs, and revenue goals
* Lead confident, value-led negotiations on pricing, commissions, renewals, and utilisation across Service Partner locations
* Identify and deliver upsell opportunities that add value for customers and revenue for the business
* Fully understand business and departmental targets and play an active role in exceeding them
* Monitor performance closely, providing clear weekly and monthly updates on pipeline, opportunities, and commercial performance
* Proactively spot opportunities to unlock improved commission and network performance

People & Collaboration

* Be a positive, collaborative team player who understands the role teamwork plays in success
* Build strong, effective relationships across the business and wider Group
* Bring enthusiasm, flexibility, and a supportive mindset to everything you do
* Continually develop yourself through ongoing learning and professional development

Health, Safety & Environment

* Act as a visible advocate for health and safety across customer and partner sites
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety policies and procedures
* Wear appropriate PPE when visiting sites and advise on best practice where hazards are identified

What we’re looking for

* Proven experience in a mid-level sales or account management role
* Experience selling software solutions and/or within the logistics or transport sector is a strong advantage
* Confident communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills
* Highly organised, with excellent diary management, route planning, and pipeline control
* Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel extensively with overnight stays where required
* A degree in business management (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
