Overview
The Senior Auditor will deliver an allocated programme of work to contribute to the evidence base supporting the assessment of the internal control environment, risk management and governance arrangements of the City of London Corporation. The role includes providing clear analysis of the internal control environment, identifying key weaknesses and risks, and making constructive recommendations for resolution.

Responsibilities
* Deliver an allocated programme of work and contribute to the evidence base supporting the assessment of internal control, risk management and governance.
* Provide clear analysis of the internal control environment for the systems examined, identify key weaknesses and risks, and make constructive recommendations for their resolution.
* Manage multiple audit assignments independently and coordinate delivery across the year; support continuity of audit work.
About you
* Experience as an Internal Auditor, with autonomy to deliver audit assignments and manage a programme of work independently.
* Analytical, inquisitive with strong communication and personal organisational skills; able to see the bigger picture and exercise judgement to achieve appropriate outcomes.
* Understanding of the Global Internal Audit Standards is essential.
* Professional qualification such as the Institute of Internal Auditors Diploma (Certified Internal Auditor/PIIA), part-qualified CIPFA or working towards CMIIA.

Salary: £50,320 - £56,010 per annum inclusive of all allowances and Market Forces Supplement
