Due to continual growth and innovation, we are now looking for a Project Manager to join our expanding team. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Key Account Projects, the client and business expectations during the course of test and certification projects to ensure that they meet contractual deliverables/timescales and that costs are within budget. It will involve both supporting the development and implementation of new tools and processes across our business, to agreed project milestones, whilst also ensuring that our business systems meet the requirements of our customer need. Duties and Responsibilities: * Acting as intermediary between the client and the operating areas from the beginning to the end of projects. * Supporting the key account customer at peak times of demand. Responsible for day to day operations, monitoring of test programme/results daily. * Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, ensuring that profit margins are preserved and any issues affecting profitability are resolved. * Managing client’s expectations, commercially during the course of their projects, provide a detailed project plan to track progress. * Working with the test Team Leader to ensure the timely delivery of test samples and supporting documentation, smooth workflow and problem solving. * Management of projects ensuring on time and accurate delivery of contractual deliverables to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing at the earliest opportunities during each month. * Ensuring accurate project forecasts are kept current and up-to-date by using the business project management tool. * Ensuring full and compliant use of business tools. * Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure projects are scheduled effectively. * Supporting LEAN/quality initiatives to improve workflow and business productivity. * Any other duties which may be reasonably required to support project delivery and business performance. Essential Criteria & Behaviours: * Recent experience in a Project Management, technical administration or technical project co-ordination role. * The ability to quickly understand and utilise technical information. * Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools, specifically including Outlook, Word and Excel to a good level. * Exceptional organisation skills, ability to multitask and prioritise workload based on business requirements. * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues and clients. * Consistently delivers, plans for contingencies and looks for opportunities to improve service delivery. * Our core values are “Own it”, “Improve it” & “Make it Positive” – candidates who possess this mind set, and who look to continually strive for improvement, in both their direct and in-direct areas of responsibility are those who excel at TUV SUD. * A good team player with a positive “can-do” attitude who actively and positively engages with colleagues with a proactive approach to change and self-development. * Self-driven and results orientated. * Exceptional organisation skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise workload based on client and business requirements. * Consistently delivers, plans for contingencies and looks for opportunities to improve. * Has a good understanding of customers’ needs and perspectives and strives to improve customer experience. * Has a good understanding of practical financial issues and commercial fundamentals. Understands the key profit drivers and how areas/functions contribute to the profitability of the business. * Track record of exercising a good balance between technical judgement and commercial awareness. * Competent and relevant business tools with excellent Microsoft Office skills.
