Meraki Talent are delighted to be supporting the appointment of a Senior Payroll Manager for a prestigious financial institution on a 12-month full-time contract based in Northampton. This is a high-impact leadership role managing a large-scale payroll operation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the delivery of the UK Payroll, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with all applicable regulations and internal governance standards
2. Inspire, coach, and develop a team of payroll professionals, ensuring a robust succession plan and a strong focus on team wellbeing and career progression
3. Oversee the resolution of escalated and complex payroll issues, including risk events and service delivery exceptions
4. Ensure full compliance with Barclays policies, controls, SLAs, and external legislation through effective management of all payroll operations
5. Drive and deliver strategic change and process improvements affecting payroll systems and procedures, in collaboration with Transformation and Strategy teams
6. Contribute to the execution of the Global Payroll strategy, ensuring UK payroll activities are fully aligned and integrated
7. Establish and maintain productive relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
