About the CNC Miller - Late Shift Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for the operation, running, and setting of CNC milling machines. This role also involves performing simple tasks on other machine shop equipment, such as pillar drills and manual mills. The successful candidate will be able to read geometric drawings, use measuring instruments, and maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities of the CNC Miller
Operate and run CNC milling machines (Bridgeport/Heidenhain control)
Set CNC mills to perform various tasks and operations, including setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches
Produce first-off components at the beginning of production runs
Maintain accurate production and quality logs
Perform simple tasks on other machine shop equipment, such as pillar drills and manual mills
Qualifications and Skills Required
Proven experience as a CNC Miller or similar role
Ability to read and interpret geometric drawings
Proficiency in using measuring instruments
Strong communication skills
Commitment to safety and adherence to procedures
