The Role
This is a hands:on planning role where youll play a key part in keeping our factory running smoothly. Youll coordinate the flow of work and materials across departments, turning production schedules into action and ensuring priorities are clear, realistic, and delivered.
Youll be the link between planning, production, and operations, making sure everyone is aligned and the plan stays on track, even when things change.
What Youll Be Doing
Coordinating work and material flow across the factory to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
Reviewing MRP recommendations and issuing clear production work orders and delivery schedules
Communicating closely with production, line leaders, and support teams to ensure plans are achieved
Creating and managing production work orders for the entire factory
Carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly EFACS system maintenance
Attending daily production meetings and actively supporting problem:solving on the shop floor
Monitoring production to spot potential issues early and help resolve them quickly
Managing urgent and priority requirements to ensure they receive the right focus
Supporting quotation routing and new project setup, including creating routes for new products
Producing weekly and monthly performance reports for the Operations Manager
Working alongside the Senior Planner to help develop and improve planning systems and processes
What Were Looking For
Experience in planning, production control, or a manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems and production planning
A background in fabrication or similar manufacturing environments is highly desirable
Confident with numbers, data, and computer systems
Organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling changing priorities
A team player who enjoys collaborating to improve processes and ways of working
Qualifications
Formal MRP or planning training would be an advantage, but not essential
A practical, hands:on mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
