Elite Relief Security Officer – Taunton, Crewkerne and Yeovil Area
Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is recruiting a full‑time Relief Security Officer to cover a variety of shifts across the Taunton, Crewkerne and Yeovil area. The role requires a full UK driving licence, personal vehicle and a valid SIA licence.
£15.50 per hour. Flexible shifts. Must drive and have access to own vehicle as travel between sites is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a visible and vigilant security presence across various client sites
* Follow site‑specific Assignment Instructions (AI's) and ensure full compliance
* Maintain a high standard of personal and professional conduct
* Ensure the safety of the public and staff by proactively monitoring for risks and hazards
* Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and effectively
* Accurately document incidents and ensure all reporting procedures are followed
* Make timely check calls and emergency contacts as required
* Attend and complete all required training and development programmes
What You'll Need
* Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision)
* Previous security experience (retail security experience is an advantage)
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
* Strong communication skills and a calm, confident approach under pressure
* Flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends and public holidays
