The company partners with leading organisations across more than 15 market sectors — including Life Sciences, Data Centres, Medical Devices, and Food & Beverage — delivering innovative and platform-independent automation solutions.

With a strong European presence and continued growth across the UK and Ireland, this role offers the opportunity to join a world-class engineering team that values long-term relationships, independence, and technical excellence.

The Opportunity

You’ll be responsible for the full project lifecycle — from design through implementation and commissioning — using technologies such as PLCs, DCS, SCADA, MES, and historian systems.

The role suits a hands-on engineer who enjoys technical challenge, client interaction, and seeing projects through from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop control system software for PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES, and historian platforms.
* Create detailed design documentation and system architecture specifications.
* Design and test electrical control panels to meet compliance and safety standards.
* Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
* Lead site commissioning activities for both software and hardware components.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure high-quality, compliant automation solutions.

Skills & Experience

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial automation or control systems.
* Strong programming experience with PLC/DCS platforms and SCADA configuration.
* Experience with systems such as Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, or Emerson DeltaV preferred.
* Familiarity with validation protocols and quality standards within regulated industries.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
* Degree in Electrical, Automation, or related Engineering discipline.
* Willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Europe (approx. 35–40% per year).

Compensation & Benefits

* Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
* Health insurance – from day one
* 25 days’ holiday plus public holidays
* Pension plan
* Employee referral bonus
* On-site pay top-up (£40/day)
* Per diem and travel expenses covered while on-site
* Performance/profit bonus after 24 months (paid bi-annually)

Why Apply

This is a chance to join a respected global automation organisation known for its technical independence and collaborative culture. You’ll gain exposure to leading technologies, work across multiple industries, and be part of a business that values growth, flexibility, and long-term development. Hit apply if you'd like to be considered!
