Hazelwood House is a 12-bedded and 1-bedded bespoke pod, low secure unit for adults with a primary diagnosis of learning disability and secondary mental health issues. We have a strong focus on recovery and enabling patients to reintegrate back into the community.
We are part of the Priory group and you will work closely with other clinicians in the region based at Lincoln, Mansfield & Nottingham.
You would lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals from nursing, clinical psychology, occupational therapy who will form part of the MDT. You are expected to review treatment plans, coordinate discharge and liaise with commissioners regarding admission, progress updates, and discharge planning.
You should be a good team player and keen to participate in a multidisciplinary approach to assessment, formulation, and management plans. The doctor must hold and continue registration with the GMC and be able to provide evidence of registration if requested by the Hospital Director or Chief Medical Officer.
You must possess highly sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills to gain the trust and build the confidence of patients, ensuring effective and successful treatments and interventions.
You should be able to work autonomously towards short and medium-term objectives and understand the impact of your actions on patient care and the multidisciplinary team.
You must be a good problem solver, able to use systemic knowledge, experience, and creative thinking to translate best practices and evidence-based research into practical operational solutions.
Priory operates a non-residential medical on-call rota, and the post holder is expected to participate on the on-call rota, which is on a second on-call basis.
