Since 2008, Ashbourne Day Nurseries has been providing high-quality childcare in a warm, friendly setting. Our first nursery opened in Oxley Park, Milton Keynes, and since then, we've expanded to offer a unique, nurturing environment for children across all of our settings – whether they're located in purpose-built facilities, on farms, or in charming listed buildings.

Your Role as Deputy Manager
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll work alongside the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. You'll support in leading a wonderful team of childcare professionals, ensuring children are provided with a safe, inspiring, and stimulating environment where they can learn and grow. You'll also take on key responsibilities when the Nursery Manager is away, helping to ensure that we continue to maintain our high standards.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting the Nursery Manager in the daily operation of the nursery, including staff management, compliance, and resources
* Leading by example, promoting a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for both children and staff
* Helping to ensure that all nursery practices meet Ofsted and EYFS requirements
* Building strong relationships with parents and families, keeping them updated on their child's progress
* Taking on a hands-on approach with children, supporting their learning and development
* Stepping up in the Nursery Manager's absence to maintain high standards of care and education
About You
* You hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
* You have previous experience working in an early year's setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience
* You are passionate about early years education and have a great understanding of the EYFS framework
* You're a natural team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
* You're approachable, caring, and committed to making a positive impact on both the children and your team
* You're ready to take on more responsibility and support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day leadership of the nursery
