About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team within the infrastructure sector. This is a pivotal role where you will support the delivery of major infrastructure projects by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all stages of construction and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Health & Safety Management System.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
Assist in the development of method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture.
Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure best practices are followed.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
Proven experience in a health and safety role within the infrastructure, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple project sites.
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
Desirable
Membership of IOSH or working towards it.
Experience with ISO 45001 or similar management systems.
First Aid at Work qualification.
