Senior National Account Manager – Tesco & Ireland
• 12‑month FTC
• Hammersmith, London (hybrid, 3 days in office)
• Reports to the Head of Business Unit for Tesco Group & Out of Home Channels (OOH)
Role focuses on driving continued revenue growth for Tesco and the Ireland businesses, managing key strategic grocery customers.
Responsibilities
* Controller of the key strategic Tesco account and expansion in Ireland, driving revenue growth of £12 million+
* Unlock strong customer relationships and influence decision makers internally and externally
* Develop and coach the Senior National Account Manager, set clear objectives and ensure execution with excellence
* Deliver best-in-class annual account plans, including JBPs, category visions, brand planning days, range reviews and store activation
* Own the Tesco & Ireland P&Ls, driving accountability of each customer’s contribution via the account team
* Build strong multifunctional relationships with Category Management, Marketing, Product Development, Shopper Marketing, Operations and Finance
* Ensure operational discipline behind forecasting, promotional planning and financial management of the accounts
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 10 years successful experience managing large grocery accounts
* Strong ability to build strategic relationships with senior retailer counterparts and internal stakeholders
* Experience managing direct reports and delivering through others
* Commercial mindset with a retailer/shopper‑first approach
* Comfortable working in a fast‑moving SME and thriving under pace
* Team player with excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
* Excellent P&L understanding, data and analytical skills, confident use of Excel
* Highly organized with ability to prioritize workload effectively
