Overview
A vacancy has arisen for a library assistant in Central Library. You will assist in the delivery of a range of library services to the community. You will be educated to standard grade or equivalent, be interested in literature and have good ICT skills. A flexible approach to the working week, including evening and weekend working, is essential. You will have good communication skills and the ability to work with people of all age groups and abilities. Although previous library experience is desirable, applicants with a customer-focused attitude and good team-working skills should also apply.
Responsibilities

* Demonstrate a flexible approach to the working week, including evening and weekend work.
* Communicate effectively with people of all age groups and abilities.
Qualifications
* Educated to standard grade or equivalent.
* Interest in literature and good ICT skills.
* Desirable: previous library experience.
* Complete a Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check if progressed to interview stage.
