Position requires independent decision-making, with supervision from the manager if necessary. The person is required to be flexible in their approach and interfaces with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Process production WIP orders created by overnight MRP runs and pull through production orders for long lead time materials.
* Accommodate standard slit widths where necessary.
* Create and maintain text for any unreleased production orders regarding delivery information as printed on the planned order list.
* Check alternate slits, slow‑moving, or aged stock if material is not available, based on press capacity.
* Raise and control purchase orders for material, using common slit widths or the best slit width depending on cost, highlighting unusual or mass requirements.
* Maintain material deliveries, incorporating daily maintenance of purchase confirmations.
* Regularly review material slits and consolidate where necessary.
* Review and maintain stock levels, including master rolls held for external slitting and slow‑moving raw material stocks to optimise availability of jobs and warehouse space.
* Plan and control inventory of Zip Ship, Stock Agreements and Wristband items to ensure they meet the manufacturing plan and customer demands, ensuring inventory levels remain within agreed limits.
* Raise internal and external slitting orders where necessary.
* Follow ISO procedures and work instructions in place throughout the department.

* Excellent time‑management, planning, and organisational skills with strong communication ability.
* Confident, enthusiastic, a can‑do attitude, and a team player.
* Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail.
* PC literate with good working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
* Experience with Oracle ERP is an advantage.
* Enthusiastic approach to new technologies.
