Deputy Head of Service & Principal Therapy Lead
Contract: Temporary contract 3-6 months
Pay: £400 - £450 (Inside IR35)
Hours: 37 per week, Monday - Friday
Our Local Authority client are recruiting a Deputy Head of Service and Principal Therapy Lead for their Adult Social Care Service.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of high-quality, strength-based services across OT, Sensory, Telecare, and Mobility functions, ensuring safety, wellbeing, and personalisation for Hackney residents.
* Develop and inspire a high-performing workforce, nurturing collaborative relationships within the Council, across the Integrated Care System, and with community and voluntary sector partners.
* Manage budgets effectively, ensuring cost-effective care delivery and contributing to savings and efficiency targets while maintaining service quality.
* Drive innovation, lead on key projects, and support a culture of continuous improvement to enhance outcomes and uphold the reputation of the department.
Requirements:
* A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Substantial experience in a senior leadership role in adult social care or therapy services.
* Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex budgets.
* Strategic thinking, political awareness, and operational resilience.
