Liquid Personnel is recruiting Occupational Therapist for its client at Vales of Glamorgan. Our client is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a flexible hybrid role where you can make a real impact on people’s independence and quality of life? The Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a skilled OT to join their Adult Services team, supporting adults with complex needs across the local area.
What will your responsibilities be?
You’ll play a crucial role in helping residents remain independent, safe, and in control of their lives for as long as possible. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you will:
1. Conduct holistic occupational therapy assessments for adults with complex needs.
2. Recommend aids to independence, equipment, and minor/major adaptations.
3. Complete manual handling assessments and review the impact/effectiveness of interventions.
4. Promote independence to reduce reliance on formal care and support packages.
5. Support hospital discharge pathways and help keep people safely at home.
6. Build strong working relationships with NHS colleagues, social workers, voluntary sector partners, GPs, and other agencies.
7. Monitor progress of adaptation works and equipment provision, including timely reviews.
8. Support, supervise and mentor junior OTs, OTAs and students where required.
9. Maintain high‑quality, contemporaneous case recording via the council’s digital systems.
10. Contribute to service development within the Vale of Glamorgan Adult Services area.
11. Participate in supervision, team meetings and service-wide initiatives.
12. Ensure compliance with all council policies, including Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Financial Regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
17. HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
18. Strong experience in adult social care, major/minor adaptations, and manual handling
19. Confident working independently and within multidisciplinary teams
20. Ability to prioritise a varied caseload while delivering high standards of care
