We are looking for an experienced communications professional who is ready to make an impact across a diverse range of campaigns, including Sheffield Markets, city regeneration, major events and more.
You'll be confident advising senior officers and elected Members, at ease speaking with the communities you serve and calm under pressure. Working closely with the wider communications team, executive directors and senior managers, you will be skilled and confident in dealing with communications campaigns and providing high-quality communications for the Council to a range of influencer and stakeholder audiences. Whether it's a communications plan or video content for social media, you'll have strong judgement and the skills to go with it.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
