Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Multi Skilled Plant Operator to join our team on a full time employment or self employed basis In this vital role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain a variety of plant machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will contribute to the safe, reliable, and productive functioning of our facilities. Responsibilities
* Operate a range of plant machinery including, 360 Excavators, ADT's, WLS, conveyors, crushers, and other recycling/processing equipment with precision and safety awareness
* Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance
* Monitor plant processes through control panels, gauges, and sensors; adjust settings as needed to meet production targets
* Follow safety protocols diligently, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE usage, to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
* Maintain accurate records of equipment operation, maintenance activities, and safety checks in accordance with company policies
* Collaborate with team members to coordinate shift activities and ensure continuous production flow
* Assist in training new operators on equipment operation procedures and safety standards
Qualifications
* Proven experience operating multiple types of industrial plant machinery in a Quarrying, Recycling, muck shifting or Civil engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to quarry, recycling and plant operations
* Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively
* Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and teamwork
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
* Technical certifications or licenses related to plant operation are mandatory.
* Basic proficiency in reading technical manuals, control systems, and operational documentation
