*About us*WS Swift Ltd have been established for over 35 years, operating from our office in Devizes Wiltshire, working for selective and existing clients carrying out mechanical works from smaller reactive and annual compliance maintenance visits right through to significant commercial contracts and projects .*Job description*We are proud of our team and due to continued expansion are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Gas Engineer/Fitter. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out installation and maintenance work on a range of commercial and industrial projects, as well as having the ability to input cost variations back to senior management and mentor apprentices as required. A team member with the ability to work on his own with minimal supervision and a can-do attitude is fundamental to this position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of commercial heating, ventilation and pipework installations. Due to the wide range of works we undertake; the role would appeal to those looking to broaden and develop their existing skills and experience.*Key Responsibilities:*- Undertake both maintenance and installation work across commercial and industrial sites and projects.- Work with various plumbing systems including Press-fit, Soldered, ABS, and PVC.- Perform installations following working drawings- Provide details to colleagues for the development of quotations for additional works.- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.- Ability to lookahead, plan and work to tight deadlines.*Essential Requirements:*- Commercial gas qualification- Level 2 Plumbing qualification or significant time served (minimum).- Able to demonstrable 5 years’ experience working in a commercial environment- Possess a good understanding of mechanical building services.- Able to identify different plant and equipment associated with mechanical building services.- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.- Demonstrable experience in a commercial plumbing and heating installations- Familiarity with a range of plumbing systems including Press-fit, Soldered, ABS, and PVC.- Ability to work independently, showing initiative, as well as part of a team.- Full UK driving licence.*Schedule*:* Monday to Friday* Overtime* Reliably travel to clients and projects generally within 1.5 hrs of our Devizes office*Benefits*:* Company van* Company pension* Full-time, Permanent* Pay: Depending on experience £48,000.00 to £52,000.00 plus overtime ratesJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £48,000.00-£52,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Company car* Company pensionAbility to commute/relocate:* Devizes: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Education:* GCSE or equivalent (preferred)Experience:* Heating/Plumbing: 3 years (required)Licence/Certification:* Drivers license (required)Work Location: In person
