About Ogilvy (UK)

Ogilvy UK has been creating iconic ideas that deliver impact at scale for clients since 1948. It specialises in bringing together brand advertising, customer experience marketing, PR, influence and consulting, all fuelled by Behavioural Science. Our campaigns deliver solutions for clients including Sainsbury’s, Argos, Mondelez International, Unilever, TK Maxx and Pernod Ricard. In 2023, Ogilvy UK celebrated its 75th anniversary and was the most awarded agency in Europe. Ogilvy is home to the largest influencer marketing practice globally, and hosts Nudgestock, the world’s biggest festival of behavioural science and creativity.

The Role

As an Influence Manager, you are the driving force behind our campaigns, delivering our influence marketing proposition across a range of clients and sectors. You will manage your workload autonomously, taking full responsibility for the quality and end-to-end execution of multiple influencer programs. You will act as a role model for Ogilvy's values, build trusted client relationships, and communicate effectively across internal teams.

You will be accountable for resolving problems on your projects, managing timelines, and proactively communicating your status to senior leadership. A key part of your role is to support the growth of junior team members by providing constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and acting as an informal mentor. We are looking for a creative problem-solver with a passion for the industry and a proven ability to lead projects with confidence and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

* Campaign Management
* Manage the day-to-day running of multiple influencer campaigns from start to finish, including:
o Identifying and vetting talent
o Negotiating contracts and fees
o Implementing campaigns across relevant channels
o Overseeing delivery and ensuring quality
o Reporting on performance against agreed KPIs
o Maintain and update the influencer database to ensure accuracy and relevance
o Serve as the first point of escalation for your projects, resolving day-to-day problems independently, consulting with stakeholders as needed and escalating to senior leadership when appropriate
* Strategic Contribution
* Actively contribute to influencer strategy by recommending objectives, targets, and creative concepts. Confidently present creative solutions and campaign reports to internal and external stakeholders. Identify and nurture client-appropriate talent opportunities and relationships to help deliver the influencer program for clients.
* Client Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for your clients, managing expectations, providing timely updates, and offering advice and solutions. Build long-term client relationships by delivering work that meets objectives and deadlines, and taking responsibility for the quality of all client outputs.
* Communication & Collaboration
* Communicate effectively across internal teams (media, PR, social), proactively sharing updates and coordinating timelines to ensure smooth handovers and integrated campaign success. Share updates proactively, coordinate timelines, and resolve potential blockers before they impact delivery. Prioritise tasks across projects and keep senior leadership informed about status and deadlines.
* Resource Management
* Manage campaign budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and on schedule. Proactively communicate about workload and capacity to your line manager.
* Team Growth & Mentorship
* Support the growth of junior team members by providing constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and acting as an informal mentor to aid their growth and development.

Skills for Growth to Influence Director

To support progression, develop capabilities in:

* Strategic Development: Move from contributing to strategy to leading the strategic design for small-to-mid-size accounts, defining industry-leading approaches.
* Commercial Acumen: Understand account profitability, identify opportunities for organic growth within clients, and contribute to new business pitches.
* Senior Client Counsel: Evolve into a strategic advisor for mid-level clients, providing proactive counsel on industry trends and challenges.
* Team Leadership: Build on mentoring to develop formal line management skills and lead a team.

What You Will Need

* A passion for influencer marketing with a minimum of two years' experience, preferably in a fast-paced agency environment.
* Proven experience in autonomously managing multiple influencer campaigns from start to finish, including budget and timeline management.
* Platform knowledge and expertise in LinkedIn and YouTube (Substack a bonus).
* Skilled at cultivating relationships with subject matter experts, business leaders and executives.
* Curiosity and ability to understand deep technical and industry expertise and craft multi-stakeholder messaging.
* A track record of building strong client relationships and proactively managing expectations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and escalate appropriately.
* Experience in guiding or mentoring junior team members is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and presentation skills to facilitate meetings and collaborate across teams.
* A commitment to growth and keeping up-to-date with influencer marketing trends and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

How We Help You Thrive

* 25 days annual leave + 1 Volunteer Day
* Bupa Healthcare
* Enhanced Maternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave
* Flexible Working Model with core hours 10am – 4pm
* 1.5:1 Matching Pension Structure
* Wellbeing and Health: Up to £25 per month towards fitness memberships and wellbeing tools
* Season Ticket Loan and Cycle to Work Scheme
* Life Assurance
