Key responsibilities as the Senior Support Worker
* Assist the team leader in the supervision and development of your team, manage rota's and develop and deliver specialist support packages, ultimately ensuring the effectiveness and smooth running of the service and ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered.
* Follow person‑centred care plans, ensuring ongoing review and updates in collaboration with management.
* Administer and accurately record medication in line with procedures.
* Ensure service users access the community, attend medical appointments, and develop independence.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring high standards of hygiene and personal care.
* Accurately complete daily records, incident reports, and other key documentation.
* Support individuals in managing their personal finances and maintaining relationships with family and professionals.
* Follow company safeguarding policies, escalating concerns appropriately.
Senior Support Worker key requirements
* Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and/or Mental health backgrounds.
* At least 1 year working as a senior support worker.
* Level 2 in Health and Social care or equivalent.
* Flexibility to work evenings and alternate weekends is essential.
* Full UK Driving Licence (desirable not essential).
