About the role: The Facilities Project Manager will lead and manage specific high priority facilities-based management projects encompassing building re-utilisation, dilapidation upgrades and building infrastructure renewals at the Deeside manufacturing plants. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation and tracking of critical projects in accordance with agreed upon deliverables, timeframes and budgets. Key Responsibilities: • Create detailed work plans & timelines for assigned projects which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete each project. • Determine the resources (time, money, capital equipment, etc.) required to complete the project. • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities. • Review project schedules with senior management and project team members; revise schedules/plan as required. • Determine the objectives and measures upon which projects will be evaluated at completion. • Manage contactors & 3rd party specialists and act as liaison. • Ensure that all contracted project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project. • Develop forms and records and trackers to document project activities. • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured. • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project. • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the business standards. • Maintain reports & documentation on the project for management review as required. • Ensure that the project deliverables are completed on time, within budget and at the required level of quality. Skills & Experience: • Experience working on projects within industrial manufacturing facilities. • Experience working with HVAC systems & controlled environments would be a distinct advantage. • Experience in the management of Health and Safety. • Experience managing multiple groups of contractors. • Ability to analyse technical and commercial aspects of developments and apply solutions in terms of time, cost, • quality and best use of available resources. • A proven team player who can set direction and delivery within challenging market conditions. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Creates a positive environment which drives a culture of respect and mutual support within their team. • Reputation for integrity, maturity and sound business judgement and be totally comfortable leading and working in a team environment. • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD and MS Project or equivalent. • Good working knowledge of building regulations, H&S legislation & experience with CDM. • Candidate should have strong analytical skills with proven experience in project planning and project management, with excellent track record of product delivery. • Candidate should have strong customer service attitude and capability and should be a strong relationship builder. • Candidate must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently and to deal with ambiguity. • Candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of organization. Qualifications/Education: • University degree, construction-related academic qualification; BSc, or HNC/HND or time-served tradesperson withproven track record in Site Management. • Prince2 or equivalent recognized project management accreditation would be an advantage.
