Product Developer Location: Market Harborough (hybrid, 2–3 days on-site) Salary: Up to £35,000 (permanent) We’re hiring a process-focused Product Developer, not a pure visual/styling role. You’ll take on the end-to-end mechanics of development (brief → spec → sample → test → launch), keeping critical paths tight, data clean, and compliance rock-solid. You’ll also support design tasks in Adobe Illustrator (packaging, dielines, label tweaks, artwork amends) alongside development. What you’ll do Support the development process: briefs, BOMs, spec sheets, test plans, CPL/CPA, sign-offs, and change control. Drive supplier comms (RFQs, MOQs, costings, lead times) and keep ERP/PLM and trackers accurate. Coordinate sampling, testing & compliance; log actions, raise NCRs, and push fixes to hit OTIF. Prepare and maintain files for packaging/artwork changes, dielines, labels, and simple component visuals. Partner with QA, Ops, and Marketing to land launches on time, at target cost/margin, with the right customer experience. Monitor post-launch performance (defects/returns/reviews) and deliver iterative improvements. What you’ll bring Hands on experience in product development (consumer goods/home/lifestyle/apparel or similar) with a process/operations bias. Fluent in development tooling: BOMs, spec packs, testing protocols, compliance, CPAs, change control. Confident supplier liaison (UK & overseas) and basics of negotiation/costing. Adobe Illustrator proficiency for packaging/artwork edits, dielines, and label updates (this is supporting design, not a pure visual designer job). Strong Excel/Sheets (lookups, pivots); any PLM/ERP exposure is a plus. Organised, detail-obsessed, and calm under deadlines. Why join Real opportunity to get stuck in with process and category delivery. Flexible hybrid working from Market Harborough (typically 2–3 days in office). Supportive team, clear growth path, and cross-functional exposure. Package Up to £35,000 DOE 25 days holiday bank holidays Pension and professional development support
