We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Caretaker to join our Accommodation Management Team based in Chelmsford. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in a maintenance role completing minor maintenance repairs and site housekeeping tasks. Working alongside individual teams and taking instructions from the Management Team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and well-maintained environment for NHS key workers. The role of Maintenance Caretaker will include:
* Reacting to maintenance duties across the site, undertaking repairs and reporting issues which require specialist attention
* Undertaking building checks and audits to maintain a safe and secure environment in line with health and safety requirements
* Carrying out routine works and providing accurate and timely information on progress
* Maintaining an adequate supply of stock and replenishing as appropriate
* Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and cleanliness is maintained
Experience within a caretaking or cleaning role is essential
* Practical skills in identifying and /or carrying out standard repairs
* Working knowledge of health and safety
* Good communication skills allowing you to provide great customer service
* Ability to interpret written instructions, maintain simple written records and assess priorities to then a plan work schedule effectively
