Health & Safety Lead (12-month fixed-term contract), Woking, Up to £82,000 (DOE) As The Health & Safety Lead, you will manage, audit and improve the delivery of H&S systems and processes, reporting to Senior Management. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the organisation’s Health & Safety compliance programme. Develop, implement, and maintain H&S management systems, policies, and procedures. Advise and support senior management and operational teams on all H&S matters. Monitor compliance across property assets to meet legislative and industry standards. Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations, embedding lessons learned. Prepare and present reports on H&S performance and risks to senior stakeholders. Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement. Ensure employee H&S training is up-to-date and compliant. Deliver incident management reporting and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions. To Be Considered You Will Have NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) Certified Membership of IOSH (or equivalent) Significant H&S experience within district energy, utilities, facilities management, or residential property sectors. Proven ability to develop and implement H&S management systems and compliance frameworks. Strong track record of providing competent advice to senior management. Experience managing H&S projects from scoping through to completion. Ability to undertake incident investigations and service audits. Comprehensive knowledge of UK health & safety and property compliance requirements. Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
