Join us as a Capital Project Manager and be the driving force behind transformative change at our Wrexham site!
We’re looking for a forward-thinking and technically confident project manager to lead high value capital investments projects that directly impact the future of our operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively, and bringing complex projects to life. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for managing large scale projects from concept through to completion. You’ll translate internal ideas into clear project plans, liaise with external suppliers, and coordinate resources across multiple functions.
You will be responsible for:
1. Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget by utilizing project controls and developing technical specifications.
2. Provide installation and commissioning services for new plant equipment.
3. Management of all the contractors involved in the projects delivery, ensuring budget times and costs are respected
4. Ensure all health and safety requirements related to plant installations are met, in compliance with legislation.
5. Coordinate the Capex budget for the Wrexham plants, aligning with stakeholders on priorities within the available budget allocation
6. Support the Plant Manager in defining and preparing investment proposals
7. Collaborate with the Purchasing department on tendering for projects works with the target of always choosing the best solution from a technical and cost point of view.
You are the right fit if you have/are:
8. Preferably hold a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
9. Proven experience in managing plant projects, with a proven track record of achieving financial and time targets.
10. Strong technical understanding with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical situations and problems.
11. Excellent communication skills, with the drive and determination to ensure project success within set timelines and budgets.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects) and AutoCAD LT.
