Overview
Bank member of staff to support the Access Team with a range of admin functions across outpatient and inpatient booking, radiology booking, reception, library, scanning, medical secretaries, Montgomery unit, and validation team.
Responsibilities
* Book patient appointments in line with consultant protocols and booking policies and procedures.
* Ensure medical case notes are available to staff throughout the hospital.
* Handle enquiries from patients and others politely and professionally, both face‑to‑face and by telephone.
* Maintain working relationships with staff in other Acccess Appointments & Admissions teams, medical and nursing teams, X‑ray, pre‑op, records at other hospitals, and GP practices.
* Support across various admin areas as required, showing flexibility and adaptability.
* Display discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications
* GCSE level education or equivalent.
* Experience working in a busy office environment and using computers is essential.
* Experience with Patient Administration Systems desirable; training will be provided.
