Salary: Starting Salary is £40,777 (Level one) - £44,075 (Level four) per annum (pro-rata for part-time) (Pay award pending)

About the Service

Our Targeted CAMHS service provides early intervention and evidence-based psychological therapies to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. We work closely with schools, GPs, social care, and voluntary sector partners to support young people and families within their communities.

We are seeking a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team and deliver high-intensity CBT interventions to children and young people.

About The Role

As a Qualified CBT Therapist, you will deliver evidence-based CBT interventions to children, young people, and their families presenting with difficulties such as anxiety disorders, low mood, and trauma-related presentations. You will hold a clinical caseload, cocomplete assessments, work collaboratively with partner agencies, and support service development within Targeted CAMHS.

This is an exciting opportunity for a therapist who is passionate about early intervention, collaborative working, and improving outcomes for young people.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Post Graduate Diploma Hi-intensity CBT qualification
2. Clinical experience working with children and young people within a mental health setting
3. Knowledge of core CBT models and techniques, including formulation, behavioural experiments, cognitive restructuring and graded exposure
4. Experience of delivering evidence-based CBT interventions to support a range of mental health presentations
5. Have an excellent knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation, guidance and responsibilities
6. Competence in identifying, assessing, and managing clinical risk, including self‑harm and safeguarding concerns
7. Ability to deliver inclusive and culturally sensitive practice
8. Demonstrate compassionate, caring, and empathetic approach when working with children, young people, and famalies.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
