We are now recruiting for a Network Controller who will join our bustling Operations Department!
In this role, you will report to the Network Manager and proactively monitor the MML tram network to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation at all hours.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting MML in its objective of offering a safe, reliable, and efficient tram service along with excellent customer service to the public.
* Controlling operational response to incidents.
* Managing incidents on the network and providing instructions to restore service safely and promptly.
* Implementing service regulation by measuring headway.
* Carrying out electrical switching and emergency isolations as required.
* Proactively monitoring CCTV across the network.
* Providing clear communication and instructions during normal operations and disruptions.
* Collaborating with customer services to deliver accurate information.
* Providing passenger information via PID’s in the absence of customer service.
* Maintaining accurate control logs and providing timely service updates.
* Liaising with Emergency Services.
* Reporting faults and utilizing Office 365, SharePoint, Agility, SmartTram, SCADA, CCTV, and recording equipment.
* Carrying out mobile controller duties, including speed checks and incident supervision.
Requirements:
* Network, operations, and customer service expertise.
* Resilient attitude to manage stakeholder needs during disruptions.
* Relevant operational experience within MML.
* A full UK driving licence and current tram driving competency.

* Effective prioritization and flexibility.
* Ability to give and receive feedback.
* Relationship-building skills at all levels.
