Job Summary
An experienced health care professional with a passion for managing chronic fatigue syndrome and post‑viral fatigue cases will join our specialist outpatient team at Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool. The role is a static post supporting patients with confirmed diagnoses of ME/CFS or Post‑viral Fatigue, delivering individual and group therapy in line with NICE guidelines.

* Post: Occupational Therapist, Band 6
* Contract: Fixed term, 12 months
* Salary: £38,682 – £46,580 per annum
* Working pattern: Full‑time

Job Responsibilities
* Deliver a tailored therapy programme supporting the management of ME/CFS and Post‑viral Fatigue.
* Provide specific therapy advice, encouraging patients to use strategies and tools to positively manage their condition.
* Manage own caseload under support and supervision from Senior Therapists and Clinical Psychologists on site.
Person Specification – Essential
* Graduate qualification.
* HCPC/NMC/BUAS registration.
* Evidence of CPD.
* Post‑registration experience in a junior rotational post providing broad experience in therapy, chronic disease management or mental health.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Contribution to clinical education of less‑experienced staff, students or assistants.
* Broad knowledge of current best practice as an ME/CFS practitioner.
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to manage own workload, prioritise and delegate tasks.
* Ability to comprehend and work within the Trust's policies on health, safety, risk management and data protection.
* Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance.
* Accurate, legible patient notes.
Person Specification – Desirable
* Experience caring for patients with ME/CFS.
* Participation in research or audit.
* Neurology, orthotic or wheelchair assessment skills.
* Presentation skills and IT competence.
