1:1 Teaching Assistant - Daventry, Northamptonshire - Immediate start - Long-Term - £90-£100 per day (PAYE, depending on experience)
Tradewind Recruitment are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school situated in a village near Daventry, Northamptonshire. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Year 1 with a visual impairment. This is a vital role supporting the child's access to learning, ensuring they thrive in a positive and nurturing environment.

About the Role - 1:1 TA
1:1 Teaching Assistant supporting a child in Year 1 with a visual impairment
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals to implement individual learning strategies
Adapting resources and learning materials to ensure accessibility
Encouraging independence and confidence in the classroom
Monitoring and recording progress in line with EHCP targets
Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only
About you - 1:1 TA
We are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and compassionate individual with:
Experience supporting children in an educational setting (primary preferred)
A solid understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally with experience supporting children with visual impairments
The ability to adapt learning resources and approaches to suit individual needs
Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, parents, and outside agencies
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
A team player mindset with a positive and flexible attitude
A commitment to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all pupils
