Weare looking for a smart, friendly and professional Medical Administrator/ receptionist to join our small but expanding GP practice.
Youwill be a key player of the administration staff and will be working alongsidea multidisciplinary team of professionals. The ideal candidate requires good ITand interpersonal skills and to be an excellent communicator at alllevels. A key feature of the role will be a willingness to learn anddevelop new skills.
Thesuccessful candidate will need to be flexible and provide cover for annualleave or absence when required.
Main duties of the job
Candidates must ideallyhave customer care experience and / or experience of working in a healthcareenvironment. Some reception & admin experience is essential for thisposition and the candidate must have excellent IT Skills

Small friendly GP Surgery located in Hampton. The list size at present is 7000 patients. There are 2 Partners 4 salaried GP I Nurse 1 HCA and 7 admin staff
Job responsibilities
* Welcome Patientsand visitors to the practice
* Assist Patientson the phone, electronically and in person
* Help to maintain safety and comfort of Patients
* Maintain records of appointments, financial transactions and other administrative duties
* Keep Patientrecords accurate and up to date
* Take part inrecalls for Patient health checks
* Maintain skills and undertakesuch training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain personal competency
* Participate in allactivities required by CQC registration
Experience
* Customer Service Related Training
* NVQ-Administration
* Experience of working in a customer service role both by telephone and face-to-face
* Knowledge and understanding of the NHS
* IT specific application knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel, E-mail.
* Common sense
* Good Interpersonal skills
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
* Proficient in the use of communication and information technology, and willing to enhance skills when required.
* A commitment to contribute to improving Practice standards and personal competencies through continued professional development.
* Excellent reliability and time keeping within the agreed shifts
* Willingness to work flexibly as part of a team
