Hi! I’m Dr Bethany Beddoes, one of the GP Partners here at Pembroke Medical Group, and we’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our team. We’re offering £11,500 - £12,400 per session, and we would love to welcome someone who enjoys working in a supportive, upbeat environment. We’re based in the South Devon area with coastline, countryside, a National Park nearby, and a range of towns and villages to explore. There are good schools nearby, including grammar schools for older children.
We are an EMIS Web practice and run a hybrid system of acute, on-the-day triage alongside planned, pre-booked appointments. There are opportunities for portfolio working, including roles within the local Integrated Care Team and other evolving PCN projects.

Job Responsibilities
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical Responsibilities: In accordance with the Practice timetable, the post-holder will be available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers. Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols. Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Collect data for audit purposes. Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions. Prescribe in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
In general, undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified GP
* MRCGP
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training)
Experience
* Experience of working in a primary care environment
* Experience of continued professional development
* Experience of QOF and clinical audit
* Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
* General understanding of the GMS contract
Desirable
* Experience of medicines management
* Experience of CCG initiatives
Eligibility
* Full GMC Registration
* National Performers List registration
