Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting: We are looking for a Project Design and Build Engineer for a permanent position based with our client in Hull. Immediate start available (subject to interview process) Salary Circa £50,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience). Responsibilities: Role will be client facing throughout the project. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team, evaluating project requirements and design specifications. Working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and professionals involved in the project. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Responsible for the specification and procurement of various equipment packages and their successful integration into a full steam cycle power generation plant. Working with process engineers to develop equipment datasheets for procurement purposes Attendance and participation in HAZID and HAZOP meetings Estimate project costs, prepare budgets, and monitor expenses to ensure projects stay within budget. Manage contract specialist engineering such as, pressure vessel calcs, Structural calcs, noise studies, flow modelling Identify potential risks and challenges and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment, materials, and services. Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical reports, project updates, and change orders in line with client and in house procedures. Communicate project status, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders through progress reports and meetings. Key Skills and Experience Required: Fundamental understanding and practical experience working with steam raising and/or process plant The ability to read and understand Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) The ability to read and understand Heat and Mass Balances The ability to prepare equipment datasheets and undertake procurement activities for balance of plant equipment including pumps, valves, pressure vessels. Practical experience project managing the installation of process plant such as boilers, steam turbines, process piping, water treatment and heat exchangers Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles. Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills both internally and client facing. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of Waste Heat Recovery Offshore Oil and Gas an advantage but not mandatory. Knowledge of ASME Code, BS 5500, API560, NORSOK advantageous Knowledge of Hydraulics and Electrical control systems advantageous. Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project Desired Qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.
