Offer description

Overview Apprentify Group is seeking a performance-driven Digital Acquisition Manager to lead our paid media, CRO, and digital acquisition strategy across the Group’s portfolio of brands. Reporting to the Performance Marketing Director, you will manage a multi-channel digital strategy to drive qualified leads, enhance conversion performance, and optimise marketing ROI. As a senior member of the Performance Marketing Team, you will oversee all paid media channels, SEO, CRO, and on-site conversion optimisation. You will collaborate closely with the CRM & Email Marketing Manager, as well as the Group Head of Marketing, to ensure seamless integration across digital touchpoints — from awareness through to retention. This is a strategic and hands-on role ideal for a data-led marketer who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You’ll manage budgets, campaigns, and performance analytics while driving innovation in digital lead generation. In 2024, Apprentify Group was recognised as one of the Times Top 100 fastest growing companies in the UK, ranked 30th overall. The role is based at our HQ in Wilmslow, with occasional travel to our offices in Tadcaster, Manchester City Centre, Birmingham, and London. Main Responsibilities Own and deliver the Group’s digital acquisition strategy, driving lead generation, brand awareness, and measurable business growth. Manage all paid media channels, including Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Reddit — optimising for CPL, CTR, and conversion rate. Oversee the performance and budget allocation across all digital channels, ensuring maximum efficiency and ROI. Lead on SEO strategy and collaborate with content teams to improve visibility, website performance, and organic lead acquisition. Lead on CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) strategies across websites and landing pages, analysing data to implement experiments that improve conversion performance. Brief, test, and optimise creative content used across paid media campaigns, working with designers and copywriters to continually enhance performance. Develop A/B and multivariate testing frameworks to refine ad creatives, landing pages, and calls to action. Track and report on digital performance, producing weekly and monthly dashboards to communicate insights and actions to senior stakeholders. Manage relationships with key digital partners and platforms, staying ahead of emerging opportunities and best practices. Collaborate with the CRM & Email Marketing Manager to align acquisition and retention efforts, ensuring a seamless customer journey from first touchpoint to conversion. Experiment with new lead generation channels and strategies, documenting performance and scaling successful approaches. Support and mentor junior digital marketing staff, fostering a culture of testing, learning, and data-led improvement. Job Requirements Essential 4 years’ experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or paid media management. Proven track record in managing multi-channel campaigns with measurable ROI. Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Experience with SEO tools and strategies for on-page and off-page optimisation. Experience with CRO tools such as Hotjar, Google Optimize, or equivalent. Data-driven with proficiency in Google Analytics, Data Studio, or equivalent reporting platforms. Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation systems (e.g. HubSpot, Magn8). Strong budget management and analytical skills, with experience reporting on CAC, CPL, and ROI. Excellent understanding of digital funnels and performance attribution models. Desirable Experience in education, apprenticeships, or training sectors. Understanding of user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimisation. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for ad and landing page troubleshooting. Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Key Attributes Results-oriented with a focus on driving measurable performance. Analytical and commercially minded with a passion for continuous improvement. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving. Adaptable and creative, with a strong test-and-learn mindset. Excellent communicator, capable of collaborating across marketing, sales, and operations.
