The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Senior Process Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership of key manufacturing processes, ensuring that new equipment and New Product Introductions (NPI) are delivered to world‑class standards and meet required capability levels.
You will split your time between introducing new products, leading and executing improvement projects, and supporting day‑to‑day production, all while helping to build a culture of continuous improvement across the factory.

Key Responsibilities
Process & Performance Leadership
1. Own and improve manufacturing processes within the Sheet Metal department.
2. Ensure all new products and equipment are introduced successfully and meet capability targets.
3. Deliver projects on time, within budget and in line with H&S and quality standards.
4. Provide daily production support, ensuring tools, equipment and material flow are fully optimised.
Leadership & Coaching
5. Act as a role model, demonstrating integrity, accountability and professionalism.
6. Support and coach junior team members to help them reach their full potential.
7. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Expertise
8. Drive process optimisation through lean methodologies and strong problem‑solving.
9. Use engineering expertise to troubleshoot issues, reduce waste and improve product quality.
10. Ensure standard work, PFMEAs, layouts, line balancing and process capability checks are maintained to a high standard.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
11. Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production and Supply Chain.
12. Attend NPI and design review meetings and contribute technical insight.
13. Engage in problem‑solving initiatives, root cause analysis and improvement workshops.
Qualifications & Experience
We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. To succeed, you’ll bring:
14. HNC Level 4 in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
15. Degree in Industrial Engineering + Lean Six Sigma certification is desirable
16. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior engineering role.
17. Strong background in manufacturing processes, including jig design and welding/weld jigs.
18. Proven experience delivering projects, factory transformations and layout redesign.
19. Experience with contractors, negotiations and equipment procurement.
