We're looking for a Payroll Advisor to join our HR Organisational Data & Payroll team based in Nottingham (with majority remote working possible).This role is paying from £30,432 - £42,087 along with a market leading benefits package. Here's what you'll be doing We're looking for a Payroll Advisor with high technical payroll skills and experience to join our HR Organisational Data & Payroll team. Our mission is to use our expertise and technology to make the complex easy for our colleagues. You'll support the Payroll Manager and, along with our Deputy Payroll Manager, you'll help our established team of Payroll Administrators deliver the monthly payroll for around 8,500 colleagues. Operating in a multi-system environment using both SAP and Workday payroll systems, you'll organise day to day processes, validate the work of the Payroll Administrators, and investigate complex cases. Acting as a behavioural role model you'll ensure colleague queries are handled with professional empathy, providing a first point of escalation and resolution. As a senior role within the payroll team, you'll develop your own focal areas and lead on payroll change projects, meaning you'll need to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions. With responsibility for key processes from statutory returns to the preparation of sign-off documentation, you'll play a critical part in assuring our payroll outputs are accurate, compliant, and easy to understand, so our colleagues can concentrate on helping our customers. What we need from you Qualified payroll professional (holding at least the CIPP Introduction to PAYE & NIC certificate or equivalent) Detailed understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, statutory returns (RTI, P11D, PAYE Settlement Agreements), and best practise in a large organisation Excellent attention to detail and comfortable working with systems and large datasets Highly organised with experience of payroll project management, working in virtual teams to deliver a deliver a positive customer experience High personal integrity, treating confidential information appropriately It would be great if you had Experience of using SAP HR and/or Workday within an in-house payroll function Higher level payroll qualification (National Payroll Certificate three to Foundation Degree in Payroll Management).
