About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Early Years team at a specialist SEN school in Norwich. Our class supports pupils with a range of complex needs, many of whom are non-verbal and require a highly personalised, pupil-led approach to learning.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (Term Time Only)
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children with a variety of complex needs, including communication difficulties and sensory processing challenges.
* Assist with personal care and toileting needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
* Engage pupils in sensory-based and exploratory learning activities.
* Work closely with the class teacher and therapy teams to deliver individualised learning plans.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and joyful learning environment.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly in Early Years or similar settings.
* Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about child-led learning.
* Is comfortable supporting children with personal care needs.
* Can use creativity and initiative to adapt activities to suit individual needs.
* Is available to work Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:30.
