The Lead Business Analyst (Lead BA) at MIB is responsible for ensuring that business processes and supporting systems meet stakeholder needs. The role involves leading BA practices, defining standards, and adopting best practices. The Lead BA acts as a liaison between technical IT teams and business units, facilitating communication on complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead innovative systems thinking to drive excellence.
* Manage and improve BA practices and standards.
* Model and analyze business processes to identify improvements.
* Propose process, personnel, policy, and rule changes with measurable metrics.
* Work within enterprise architecture guidelines to document current processes.
* Support project teams using agile or waterfall methodologies.
* Produce project deliverables such as business requirements and specifications.
* Lead BA components in agile projects and support product/process owners.
* Define and document business processes at all levels.
* Develop system specifications and evaluate solutions.
* Assist in creating user documentation and training materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Formal qualifications in Business Analysis; project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, IIBA) are desirable.
* Experience with project methodologies like Waterfall and Agile.
* Proven leadership in complex projects (>£1m).
* Intermediate experience with Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile practices.
* Knowledge of customer journey mapping, use cases, and process analysis.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience in insurance or similar complex organizations is preferred.
Additional Information:
* Salary: £64,000 per annum
* Contract: Fixed Term for 18 months
* Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday
* Location: Milton Keynes, hybrid working (2 days in-office)
