About the role:
Avove is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Severn Trent framework. Reporting directly to the Framework Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities and managing site teams on Clean and Wastewater Non-Infrastructure projects across the region.
Salary: £75,000 – Negotiable based on experience
Location: We welcome applications from candidates based within the Severn Trent region.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure company procedures are followed and assist senior management in developing the company safety management systems in accordance with good working practice, legislation and experience
* Assist with site audits suggesting improvements as appropriate
* Assist in investigation of incidents with an appointed H&S advisor
* Produce incident investigation reports including action plans
* Provide technical assistance to the Project Managers, Site managers, site supervisors and in-house designers as appropriate
* Aid with pre-qualification tender submissions & pre-acceptance issues
* Aid in the production of programmes
* Assist in Procurement of SC packages (with QS)
* Oversee Quality and maintenance of Quality Records
* Ensure maintenance of appropriate records to ensure recovery of asset values together with as-built records
* Attend meetings with Project Managers, Designers and Clients
* Support build ability reviews
* Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, experience and mentoring
* Maintain financial forecast of project with PM & QS
* Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, site teams and sub-contractors via management meetings, team meetings toolbox talks and day to day discussions
Skills and Experience:
* 5+ years management or supervisory experience in utilities or construction
* Proven ability to manage direct labour and subcontractors
* Experience interfacing with developers and utility companies
* Knowledge of utility adoption standards
* Budget management for departments and projects
* Experience resolving contractual disputes
* Track record of successful project delivery
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Project management expertise
* Technical and practical skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
