About the Role:
A primary school in East London is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young child with additional needs and challenging behaviour. Your responsibilities will include providing personalised support, implementing behaviour management strategies, and helping the child engage positively with learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 support for children with SEN and challenging behaviour.
2. Implement tailored learning and behaviour strategies.
3. Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
4. Support the child's social and emotional development.
5. Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviour.
* A clean and enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
* Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, patient approach.
* Genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
