Role and Responsibilities
* Lead on identifying and researching potential major donors, trusts, and companies, turning complex information into clear and actionable insights.
* Influence fundraising strategy by building a strong prospect pipeline, supporting income growth, and strengthening impact across the organisation.
* Deliver high-quality research, prepare detailed profiles and briefings, and participate in due diligence processes.
* Collaborate closely with senior colleagues and trustees, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring decisions are informed, evidence-led, and forward-thinking.
* Be naturally curious and detail-driven, with a flair for transforming data into insight.
* Demonstrate strong understanding of data protection and confidentiality, with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels.
* Take ownership of a developing area and help shape the approach to prospecting for the Royal British Legion.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Experience in research, data analysis, and building actionable insights for fundraising or similar functions.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear, concise briefs.
* Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality considerations.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with colleagues at all levels.
* Curious, proactive, and motivated by helping teams achieve results.
Location and Working Arrangements
You will be contracted to our London Hub, Haig House. Under the Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using collaboration tools to work with colleagues, but with a minimum expectation of two days per week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.
