Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Psychiatry Consultant specialising in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to join a hospital in the North West. The successful candidate will provide expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health disorders. Responsibilities Carry out comprehensive psychiatric assessments of children and adolescents Develop and implement individualised treatment plans Provide evidence-based interventions such as psychotherapy, medication management, and family therapy Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care Advise and support families in understanding and managing mental health challenges Contribute to research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives within the field of CAMHS Psychiatry Qualifications Medical degree and completion of specialised training in Psychiatry Board certification in Psychiatry Subspecialty training or experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Active licensure to practise medicine and Psychiatry Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in psychiatric care Day-to-day Engage in direct patient care, including outpatient consultations and inpatient visits Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences Collaborate with community agencies and schools to support continuity of care Provide supervision and mentorship to medical trainees Stay abreast of current research and best practices in CAMHS Psychiatry
