Fixed term contract for 18 months.
The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Band 6 Research Nurse/AHP or Practitioner to join the Research and Innovation Team. The role involves coordinating and managing a portfolio of research projects, providing GWH patients with opportunities to take part in pioneering research.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage a portfolio of research studies, both commercial and non‑commercial, and take responsibility for studies allocated by the Research Clinical Delivery Lead.
* Provide line management, support the day‑to‑day functioning of the wider research team, and contribute to the development of team members.
* Work with staff across the organisation to raise awareness of research and develop strategies to increase activity and overcome barriers.
* Assess and manage care pathways for patients and carers participating in research projects, working closely with the consultant lead of each trial.
* Recruit, educate and monitor participants in research projects, and collect and document accurate data.
* Provide clinical support for research participants at GWH.
* Support training and professional development for the research team.
