Job Role: Extra Works Supervisor – Temporary contract.
Reporting to: Account Manager
Location: Newquay
Job Purpose:
The Extra Works supervisor takes responsibility to deliver a portfolio of small projects / customer funded works within their designated Business Unit, ensuring that all works are delivered to the agreed time, cost and quality.
The EW supervisor role is to have management and overall responsibility for contractors on the client property in line with all Health and Safety, environmental, company procedures related general legislation and client/tenant requirements. This includes ensuring the adherence to the budgetary costs and customer service.
Role Summary:
* Manage the delivery of small project works across the designated business unit or region.
* Responsible for delivering an exceptional health and safety culture both internally and across the supply chain, championing all QHSE policies
* To manage major work programmes on site, acting as the liaison point for all parties involved.
* Manage and enhance customer relationships to give customer confidence in the project service. Mange day to day customer relationship as required.
* Manage suppliers and subcontractors and provide feedback on performance for future works
* To monitor FM works onsite and liaise with service providers/sub-contractors,
* Raising relevant site paperwork, prestart checks, permits to work, assessing RAMS, & competencies.
* Ensure that a work order is in place for all jobs completed by the site team prior to work commencing.
* Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings as formally agreed and requested.
* Ensure any requests change to site scope & services are communicated to the Contract Manager.
* Report weekly and monthly on small works project progress for BU review reporting
* Commercial understanding of the terms and conditions of engagement with the supply chain
* Assess, mitigate and report on the risks involved in delivery of all projects
* Experience of supporting a wider team and be a committed team player. Able to act as a mentor/leader for more junior colleagues
* Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities across the business unit
* Promote and maintain the core values of CBRE
Person Specifications:
* Thorough working knowledge of project delivery in workplace and facilities management, through significant job experience & training.
* Likely to have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience and be fully/part qualified with a construction/real estate professional qualification.
* Experience of site supervision of contractors.
* Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent motivational and influencing skills, with high levels of personal integrity
* Able to demonstrate an empowering and inspiring leadership style
* Strong MS Excel skills, proven experience with large spreadsheet modelling/management
* Excellent IT skills, especially with Excel and database management, and be able to add value to the development or enhancement of these reporting systems
* SSSTS/SMSTS qualification desirable. Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, environmental protection requirements.
