The role
As a Driver, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will join our well-established Light Aircraft Flying Task (LAFT2) contract, delivering world-class support to the UK Ministry of Defence. You'll take on a dynamic and rewarding role that leverages specialist skills, working within a close-knit team while being part of a global organisation committed to excellence.
Day-to-day, you'll have the following responsibilities:
* Provide professional driving for all assigned tasks, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
* Operate fuel bowser vehicles to support flying operations and perform routine safety checks.
* Manage vehicle-related administration in line with DVSA, RAFMT, DGSA, and Babcock guidelines.
* Carry out flight line operations, including ground handling and aircraft movement.
* Conduct see-in/see-off procedures, refuel and replenish oil, clean aircraft, and check Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
This role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based on site at Glasgow International Airport, University Air Squadron, Juliet site, Campsie Drive, Paisley, PA3 2SG.
Essential experience of the Driver:
Solid understanding of transport regulations and driver compliance requirements.
Qualifications for the Driver:
* Hold PSV, LGV, and ADR certifications (we welcome applicants who may not yet have all licences).
* Maintain a clean, valid driving licence.
* Meet CP2/CP3 colour vision standards required for airfield and airside operations.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) / EDBS security clearance for this role.
