An opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor or Associate with a genuine interest in agricultural work to join a thriving and well-respected Agricultural Disputes team within a full-service, UK-wide law firm.
This is a unique opening in a specialist litigation team dealing with a varied, complex caseload of agricultural and rural land matters, including tenancy issues, farming and supply chain disputes, property and boundary claims, environmental regulation, and broader commercial disagreements in the agri-sector.
This role could be a perfect fit for someone with experience in commercial property or litigation, and an appetite to specialise in the rural and agricultural law sector.
The Role
You will advise landowners, farming families, estates, and agri-businesses on a broad spectrum of contentious issues affecting their land, operations, and regulatory obligations. You’ll work collaboratively within an experienced and collegiate team, with the support and flexibility to develop your niche within the practice.
Your remit will also include maintaining strong client relationships, actively participating in business development, and sharing knowledge across the wider group.
The position can be based in either the Cambridge or Northampton office, with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.
About You
We are seeking an individual with:
* 1–5 years’ PQE (more senior candidates also encouraged to apply)
* A genuine interest in agricultural law
* Litigation or commercial property experience, ideally with some rural work exposure
* A collaborative mindset and strong client-handling skills
* Commercial awareness and solid technical ability
* Strong drafting, organisation, and communication skills
