Permanent Field Sales Mobility Specialist required for local business based out of Lisburn and covering all Ireland. Job Summary A long-established family-run healthcare business is seeking a field-based mobility sales specialist to join their team. This position involves demonstration, assessment, handover, and review of mobility equipment across Ireland. The role includes working directly with disabled individuals as well as in joint assessments with healthcare professionals such as Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. This is a technical sales position requiring competence with tools and programming devices. As many of the products are custom-built to user needs, attention to detail and accurate documentation are essential. Clear, respectful communication is critical, as many customers may have physical or cognitive disabilities. A professional, friendly approach and a high level of service are essential. The role requires occasional overnight travel. Main Duties & Responsibilities Field based sales and review service provision for a diverse range of wheelchairs, mobility scooters and special needs strollers, access equipment and other high value mobility equipment. Demonstrating, advising and educating customers throughout Ireland on a comprehensive range of products and providing assistance to them in carrying out product assessments, product set up and product reviews. Conducting fault finding diagnosis and subsequent repairs on your portfolio of products. Deliveries, collections and handovers of portfolio. Bringing equipment to the customer for demonstration. A company commercial vehicle will be provided. Provision of the highest standards of service to build and maintain excellent customer relationships. Planning & monitoring of sales activities to achieve overall sales and individual product targets for the territory. Maintaining a high level of customer contact and communication and proactively identifying opportunities for business development. Managing your diary effectively to maximise the time spent with customers and ensuring your availability for appointments when requested. Overnight travel will be a requirement as you grow your customer base in Ireland. Arranging and carrying out Lunch and Learn product awareness training. Creating new customers through planned customer sales visits. Following up on sales visits and maintaining good customer contact. Developing and maintaining an accurate sales contact database. Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately. Ensure all equipment is labelled clearly at all times. Report all issues, adverse situations and product feedback to your line manager. Treating all customers with patience, respect and be aware that many of our customers are disabled or have learning difficulties and require clear communications. Develop good working relationships with other staff. Other Ensure all Health & Safety policies plus procedures are adhered to. Treat company Vehicles and Equipment with care. Attend training as and when required to update specific product knowledge and develop skills. The above reflects the main elements associated with this position. Essential Criteria: Sales experience within Mobility/Disabled Industries would be advantageous. 3 A-Levels or equivalent Min. 3 years in a field-based sales role (within last 5 years) ORQualified Occupational Therapist specialising in wheelchairs. High competence in using tools, fault-finding, and troubleshooting Proficient in MS Office Strong attention to detail, especially in measuring and documentation Full, clean drivers license (age 21) Physically and mentally capable of: Handling unpredictable clients Repetitive lifting/loading of equipment Working in challenging domestic environments Willingness to travel overnight as needed. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure background check due to working with vulnerable children and adults. Desirable Criteria: Motability trained Experience in rehab/mobility trade Familiarity with powerchair programming systems Completion of a wheelchair prescription course (e.g., STEPS) Competencies Customer Focus: Empathetic, respectful service tailored to individual needs Planning & Organizing: Manages time effectively, sets and meets targets Teamwork: Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders Initiative & Accountability: Proactive, responsible, and solution-focused Technical Ability: Skilled in product set-up, measurements, and repair Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum Bonus £5,000 - £10,000 (Target Based) Commercial vehicle (business use only), Smartphone, Sat Nav, Tools, ramps, uniform, etc. Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 40 hrs per week For further information contact Tanya Lyttle at GenTech Recruitment on.
